MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi All, Nice morning for a walk so I made the rounds here at Chesapeake Landing on Mill Creek. The walk was good for 58 species raising my human powered year list to 103. Highlights were newly arrived Yellow-breasted Chats, six other warbler species featuring Kentucky, Black-throated Blue, and Magnolia, several Indigo Buntings, Eastern Wood-Pewee, a female flicker peeking out of its nest hole, I finally confirmed Tufted Titmouse, 2 Scarlet Tanagers, and a totally unexpected Pine Siskin flitting overhead insolently saying "nyeah!" showing off its yellow wingstripes. Being new to Maryland I'm unsure if anyone down here does human powered listing. Human powered lists are an entertaining challenge because you must tally all species without the aid of the internal combustion engine. Your feet, bikes and paddled craft (such as kayaks) are OK, just don't use the car or any other sort of motor to get around when you bird.
