There was a good fallout all along the stretches of the canal I visited yesterday morning. I had 14 warbler species in a short walk along the stretch near Cabin John, including Wilson's and many Blackpoll. Around 10 I headed up to Pennyfield and then Hunting Quarter Rd and Sycamore Landing Rd. I have never seen or heard so many Northern Waterthrush. Also came across another Wilson's at Hughes Hollow. Not sure what everyone else saw at Rock Creek this morning, but my personal highlight was a Lincoln's Sparrow on the far side of the horse training area. Heard or saw a total of 17 warbler species in 2 hours including Wilson's, Blue-winged and Tennessee.
