Over 90 species for the day's totals. The best bird of the day was an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER perched in a dead tree across from the school. Confirmed SCARLET TANAGER going to a nest and HOODED WARBLER gathering nesting material. Returned home to an OLIVE-SIDED in the yard and I just spotted it again at 1:00 today. I would guess it will stick until tonight so anyone is welcome to come and look. They are usually most active from 4-7 p.m. Spent the morning working my atlas block and confirmed a good number of birds. A WARBLING VIREO pair feeding young. Most exciting was a female DICKCISSEL! Didn't stick around though so I don't have much hope for it as an atlas tick. A nice group of GRASSHOPPER sparrows massing- cute as buttons as they perch and sing.
