MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Are there any free sources of bird calls on the Internet? Yesterday I was hiking in Little Bennett with a (non-birder) friend; he remarked on an unusual bird noise and then a cuckoo flew by into the woods too fast to be identified as to species. I listened to my Peterson bird-song CD when I got home, but didn't remember the original call well enough to decide. My friend might remember the sound better, but I can't easily get the CD to him. Therefore I was hoping there might be a website I could point him to -- "click here, listen to the calls of the black-billed vs. yellow-billed, then tell me which one you remember hearing on Sunday." Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
