Yesterday we had 8 species of warbler, today 12: Nashville, Parula, Yellow, 2 Chestnut-sided, Magnolia, Cape May, 4 Yellow-rumped, 2 Blackpoll, 3 Redstart, Northern Waterthrush, Yellowthroat, Wilson's (I didn't forget any). Other niceties were a Yellow-billed Cuckoo, 2 Scarlet tanagers (including the orange-red one that has been here for 4 days), a Rose-breasted Grosbeak and a male Purple Finch. A few White-throated Sparrows linger. Paul O'Brien Rockville, Mont.
