Before retiring I heard a Veery, 5 Swainson's Thrushes and a Black-billed Cuckoo overhead between 11:30 and 11:45PM. Today many of yesterday's birds were gone. The warbler count dropped from 11 species to 5: Magnolia, 2 Black-throated Blue, Bay-breasted, 3 Blackpoll and 2 Redstart. We also had 2 Scarlet Tanagers and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. Tonight could be interesting. Paul O'Brien Rockville, Mont.
