I found a beautiful area with a pond surrounded by acres of meadow and forest. There is a small grove of tall sycamore trees next to the pond. In one of the sycamores there were 2 KINGBIRDS, a male and female ORCHARD ORIOLE, and a male and female BALTIMORE ORIOLE. Each of the oriole species had a nest. The pond/meadow/forest is along a dead-end road that has no houses (providing a quiet, private place for my viewing pleasure). This wonderful place is only a mile or two from my house, yet I might never have known that it existed were it not for the atlas.
