In addition to the usual Barn and Rough Winged Swallows, I had one Cliff Swallow and one Bank Swallow. Both birds were darting back and forth across the pond with the more common swallows. Got great views of the upper side of the Cliff Swallow, including the rump patch. At one point the Bank Swallow flew within several feet of us. Also joining in the action were several Chimney Swifts. I couldn't find any Tree Swallows today, however. Also at the Pond this morning were 17 Blackpoll Warblers (they seemed to be at every turn), 4 Yellow Warblers, 2 Common Yellowthroats, 3 Northern Parula, 1 Waterthrush sp., and 3 American Redstarts. 2 Spotted Sandpipers were also present.
