They accomodatingly lined up like Meerkats so I could count them. There was quite a bit of berry-passing among pairs, and a Goldfinch couple added some more color to the gathering. A song recital was provided by an Orchard Oriole at the top of a neighboring tree. Others in the area were two G.B. Herons, numerous G.C. Flycatchers, a Common Yellowthroat, more Goldfinches, the nesting Tree Swallows previously noted, Song Sparrows, and now that I know what they sound like, Blackpoll Warblers everywhere. I was hearing them all day yesterday in Clary's Forest also. fdp -------------------------------------------- Fred Pierce (DNRC) Avialantic.com fpierce@avialantic.com www.avialantic.com MAAM WWII Weekend Airshow 2002 - June 7-9 www.maam.org/maamwwii.html MAAM Transportation Show 2002 - Sept. 21-22 www.maam.org/transhow.html ------------------------------------------- ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
