Best I could do was a Northern Parula giving a very good imitation of the cerulean. Birds of note were a singing Northern Waterthrush and Swainson's Thrush, a Sharp-shinned Hawk(nesting?) and a Yellow-crowned Night Heron in breeding plumage in the swamp at the entrance to the central fields. Also heard a nighthawk in the middle of the day. Despite the recent rains the area is relatively dry. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
