( a county bird for me). Also present were 3 Wilson's Phalaropes. You may recall that Teresa Simons, J.B. Churchill and I found 1 Wilson's here last Sunday (5/19). I called J.B. who arrived in time to see the birds. They were still present when we left around 5:00. I took digiscoped photos of the Whimbrel and the Phalaropes. Only the Whimbrel shots were worth sharing. You can check one by clicking "Digiscoping" at: http://www.hereintown.net/~rrkiddy/Kiddy.htm Directions: From I-68 in Cumberland, take Rt. 51, Industrial Blvd., south about 5 miles to a right onto PPG Rd. Turn left after 1/4 - 1/2 mile onto River Road. Follow River Road about 1/2 mile to the ponds on the left. The shorebirds congregate on the tarps that cover the ponds closest to River Rd. Happy trails ....
