Slaughter Beach was by far the best spot for birds. The entire beach was lined with them as far as I could see, however, red knots were dramatically fewer in proportion. Port Mahon had no birds but dozen or so trucks with beds FULL of horseshoe crabs. From what I have heard, Missipilion harbor has been the best spot this year for birds, but is inaccessible except by boat. All other locations in Prime Hook NWR seemed to be void of all birds except gulls. -Dave ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
