We saw a full breeding plumage Common Loon and what we thought might be two juve Common Loons. We watched for more than an hour, and if behavior is an indication we have a mother and two babies. (Please forgive us! We are novices) The two "juves" fished for the entire time we watched, and the adult never put its head underwater. It was totally involved in watching the "juves". If what we saw was not juve Common Loons then there are TWO Pacific Loons at Clopper Lake. Ok, we are ducking! : ) John and Carrie Staples Great Falls, VA sigmafinancial@erols.com ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
