When they turn up in Howard County, in my experience, they don't linger very long. Fore Bay Pond is, indeed, the pond located at the far end of the lake from dam. Bear right on the path. And be sure to check the pond that lays beyond that, which is where I saw the bird. As for my luck in finding the bird, it wasn't luck at all. I have a mole at Lake Elkhorn. It's a good idea to check the ponds at the far end of Elkhorn on any visit, that is where the good stuff often turns up. The HowCo Bird Club tries to get the word out when a unusual bird appears at Elkhorn. So keep an eye on the net!
