The juvenille Common Loon repeatedly flew over to the Pacific Loon, who would immediately try to put distance between them. The Pacific Loon spent alot of his time feeding and diving, something which we never saw the adult Common Loon do. I took numerous pictures of them all with my scope and camera. Also of interest at the park is a Baltimore Oriole nest at the top, right at the middle, of a tall nut tree just south of the small parking area near the Boat Center. We watched both the male and female visit the nest, which seems to have the opening at the very top neck. Got at least one shot of the male visiting the nest too. We also saw several Orchard Orioles, along with: Eastern Kingbird, Pileated and Downy Woodpecker, Tree, Barn and Rough-Winged Swallows, Blue-Grey Gnatcatcher, Cedar Waxwing, Red-eyed Vireo, Chipping Sparrow, and Pine Warbler. A total of 28 species in an afternoon visit.
