Is it the Northern par-OO-luh? PAR-uh-luh? PAR-yuh-luh? PAR-yoo-luh? So this morning I did a little searching on the Internet, and turned up an interesting and amusing guide to bird name pronunciation. For any of you out there who are also uncertain about Parulas, Plovers, and the rest, this page is worth reading: http://birds.cornell.edu/crows/birdname.htm (Now if I can just remember what it says....)
