I was told once to go down Old Legislative Road. But no one said how far or told me what to look for in the way of landmarks. I probably won't have time to go deep into Garret County, though I might go to Finzel swamp. We stopped in Frostburg at 6AM and picked up Henslow's Sparrow perched in the same scope view as a Grasshopper Sparrow, also present were Field, Vesper, and Willow Flycatcher. Garret County Finzel Swamp - 1 Black-billed Cuckoo (calling), 1 Warbling Vireo, and 1 Purple Finch (male, singing) Mason School Rd - 1 Kestrel, 1 Purple Finch (female), 1 Savanna Sparrow, GC Kinglets Table Rock area - 3 Raven, 1 Mourning Warbler, 2 Hooded Warblers (males), Veery, Baltimore Oriole Harrington Manner S. P. - 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch (by entrance, hanging around a hole in the second telephone pole to the north up the clear cut), 1 Magnolia Warbler, 1 Blackburnian Warbler, 1 Osprey Cranesville Swamp - Horned Lark, Cliff Swallows, (Bobolinks and another Red-breasted Nuthatch on the WVA side) Cheeks Lane - 3 Magnolia Warblers (2 male), 2 Blue-headed Vireo Mount Nebo - 1 White-eyed Vireo, 16+ Raven Deep Creek - Cliff Swallows, and 1 Black Duck (flying east, saw another one or the same one late in the day on Accident-Bittenger Road) Birds seen at many locals include Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Parula, Red-eyed Vireo, Purple Finch, Raven, and Swamp Sparrow.
