A young male. I also had a young Mourning Dove feeding in the yard. On the fourth, young Starlings and Common Grackles were around the house. The Bluebirds in the front yard fledged last week. A pair of Cedar Waxwings were fly catching about 6 PM. Safe date for this species is up to July 15. Atlas work continues this month. Go atlas. On the butterfly front, a fresh Wood Satyr and Great- Spangled Fritillary were around this weekend. A plain skipper was photographed. Time to get out the fieldguide. I hope all are enjoying the summer.
