At first we looked for it along the mud edges and suddenly noticed it 20' up! On the way back we went by Lake Needwood on Needwood Rd., and there is an active colony of Cliff Swallows under the small bridge -- we saw about 5 nests, some with birds on them and some apparently being built (wet mud). The adults were flying around a lot, very nice. Baby Wood Ducks at both sites, and Needwood had Spotted Sandpiper and Killdeer as well on the mud.
