(An All-County 'close-out' bird for me -- ) After a > nice chat and a lot of views of the Ibis Sue, One of the folks you talked to on Saturday morning was the finder of the Ibis, Tom Dunne. I talked to him on Sunday about the bird and the fact that lots of birders from all over were coming to see it, and he said he spoke with someone from Calvert County. When I mentioned your name, he said that it was you he talked with. Also, when I went out on Sunday late morning to see the ibis, the female wood duck had one baby still in tow. It must've been hidden when you were there. The ibis has acquired more color around the face than when I saw it last week, and on the bill also. Also, the lake has been drained a bit ( a sign on the way in confirmed this), so this spot may be good for shorebirds very soon, keep an eye out...
