(One particularly aggressive male has been attacking folks who canoe on "his" river.) There was a brief mention of swan control efforts in other states, including Maryland, but very little discussion of why these birds are viewed as undesirable in a larger environmental sense. Perhaps someone involved in our local efforts regarding these swans should write a letter to the Journal.
