I was able to relocate 3 of the Stilt Sandpipers feeding towards the rear of the mudflat. When I was there (2:30 - 4), there were a large number of shorebirds (conservatively estimated at 350 or so), most of which were peeps. Also present were 1 Greater Yellowlegs, 6 Lesser Yellowlegs, 5 Short Billed Dowitchers, 6 Pectoral Sandpipers, numerous Killdeer, numerous Least Sandpipers, lesser numbers of Semipalmated Sandpipers, and at least 2 Western Sandpipers. Other treats were the 20 Snowy Egrets, plus a pair of noisy Least Terns which briefly flew swallow-like over the mudflats and water, diving on a few times.
