Also, a good number of the previously reported = shorebirds had gone. But, there were still about 50 - 60 birds there = including:=20 (1) Snowy Egret Greater (1) and Lesser (4) Yellowlegs a solitary Solitary Sandpiper (1) Pectoral Sandpiper a mixed bag of Least, Semipalmated and Western Sandpipers and a couple of Forster's Terns. No dowitchers, Least Terns or Stilt Sandpipers, tho :( Don't venture too far into the sandy parking lot across the street from = the marsh. We almost got stuck but got out using 4-low. You can probably = still see the 4 tire marks where we were spinning. Also, beware of poison = ivy along the road edge near the marsh as well as morons speeding by very = close and yelling as they pass. I guess they've got nothing better to do = than drive up and down the road harassing hapless birders who don't have a = decent place to set up their scopes!
