I stopped by there around 2pm today and found a Great Heron, two Green Herons, one adult and one juvenile, Eastern Kingbird, Red-winged Blackbirds, etc. Ron, have you seen a name plaque somewhere, or is the name apocryphal? The park isn't listed in ADC or on the internet. The area is referred to as "Reston Arboretum" on the ADC map. If you continue west on Sunrise Valley Drive you will come to a beautiful pond on the right that comes right to the road. I saw a Green Heron there Sunday with about 20 Mallards mostly juves looking very grown up.
