Many folks saw it as it was on the main Sooty Tern island and fairly easy to find with a scope. A boat group was leaving as we debarked from our sea plane and alerted us to its presence. It was during the month of May. Also, long enough ago that we were able to camp overnight so we had most of 2 days to bird. A really neat experience! Have seen both Brown and Masked Booby off North Carolina, I agree we are due for one of these in Maryland some year!
