This morning, there were 17 Killdeer, 17 Least Sandpipers, 11 Semipalmated Sandpipers, 1 Solitary Sandpiper, 1 Lesser Yellowlegs, and 4 Pectoral Sandpipers. Other shorebirds present over the past two weeks have been many Spotted Sandpipers, 1 Greater Yellowlegs, and a few Western Sandpipers (on 2 days). An Eastern Towhee, Field Sparrow, Song Sparrows, and Goldfinch have been consistently singing/calling. The water level at this small pond has been getting lower by the day.
