Churchill" Subject: LBHE & BLTE Youghiougheny Reservoir goodies A LITTLE BLUE HERON (possibly the same on that was there last weekend) was at the Youghiougheny Reservoir (Garrett County, MD) today (Friday 8/16) in the afternoon. I also saw a BLACK TERN resting at the edge of the water. There was a single Pectoral Sandpiper, 3 Least Sandpipers, 1 Solitary, 2 Spotted Sandpipers, 2 Semipalmated Plovers and a single Lesser Yellowlegs among approximately 84 Killdeer. Also 3 Wood Ducks, 20 Mallards, 4 or 5 Green Herons and at least 3 Gt Blue Herons. The Little Blue Heron is an immature and is completely white with a largish bi-colored bill (same as the one that was there last Saturday).
