I don't think the bird was a Stint, because it looked bigger and stockier than the Least Sandpipers surrounding it. I saw this bird for a minute or two in hazy light. White parts very bright. Some white on face. No strong facial markings-- perhaps a dull supercilium. Orange or yellow-orange wash on breast covered a substantial area. Bill-- not a great look (the bird was facing directly at me), but I think medium length and thicker than a Least's bill. Leg color--no idea. Tail-- did not see. My guesses-- Juvenile Western or Juvenile Baird's (if the wash on a Baird's can vary from "buffy" to yellow-orange) or even Sanderling (though I did not observe Sanderling posture or movement).
