It flew northwest before turning north and dropping from sight beyond the trees a great distance away. I looked for the bird from about noon until 1:45 pm without success, so I went birding down to Wenona looking for the bird, and returned to Deal Island for one last quick look. The bird flew directly over me a few minutes after I arrived. Since I had scanned the area after I arrived and didn't see it, I think the bird was either hidden from sight or flew in from somewhere else. The narrow pull off just beyond the 'sneaker on a post' is 2.3 miles from the intersection of Riley Roberts Road and Rt. 363 in Dame's Quarter. There was also a Peregrine on the left about a quarter mile before (north) of the pull off, perched on a dead tree. -Joe Joe Byrnes Columbia, MD joseph.byrnes@comcast.net ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
