(Providing they don't start construction). It is very thick this year and I don't advise trying to get through without aid of clippers. I got "stuck" at one point and took about 5 minutes of clipping to extricate myself! The ponds are looking great with water in all and some exposed mud. There were 5 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS present. In years past we have had bitterns, rails and marsh wrens - along with the sparrows of course. No lark sparrow today, and tomorrow is the last day of August!
