It was calling from the second impoundment on the right, very close to the intersection of the two dikes. It called once, giving a series of irregularly spaced "clack" calls and stopped. I waited 10 minutes, it didnt call again. I imitated it "clacking" and it responded right away with one more series of calls. I was not able to see the bird. Numerous flycatchers were also at Hughes Hollow, including Phoebe, Eastern Wood- Peewee, and several Empidonax including a probable LEAST FLYCATCHER. The female WESTERN TANAGER in Darnestown has not been relocated since the original sighting on Sept. 2. A flock of ten COMMON NIGHTHAWKS was migrating over Darnestown on the evening of Sept. 3. - Don Simonson email: don.simonson@comcast.net ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
