    The new ponds and mudflats of the Pickering Creek Audubon Center Wetland
are holding their water quite well.  Shore bird numbers have receded, but
there were still some nice birds there this morning (9/6):

    Greater Yellowlegs            1
    Lesser Yellowlegs              17+
    Semipalmated Sandpiper    4
    Least Sandpiper                 2
    Pectoral Sandpiper           10   (more than earlier in the week)
    Stilt Sandpiper                   1
    Killdeer                           16
    Semipalmated Plover          2

Also, Mallards (4) and Osprey (2).
