I started the day by having coffee on the deck in Waldorf, Charles Co. I had a nice collection of birds early until the Sharp-shinned Hawk arrived. Birds of note were: Singing White-eyed Vireo Red-eyed Vireo Eastern Wood Peewee Black & White Warbler Magnolia (female) American Redstart (male/female) Parula, and the ususal suspects Maybe a good migrant day for all. Two young male Hummingbirds remain and the Whip-poor-will was pretty active last night. It will be gone soon. I will miss my resident nesting birds. I hope there is enough woods left in the spring when they return again to sing.
