Not as active today but still a nice tally at first, the Ridge, then Maintenance Yard and Military Field ("dog run"). Warblers: Black-and-White (2), Bay-breasted (1), Blackpoll (1), Chestnut-sided (10), Magnolia (6), Common Yellowthroat (8), Redstart (5), Yellow-throated Vireo (1), Red-eyed Vireo (12), Rose-breasted Grosbeak (1), "Traill's" Flycatcher (1), LEAST FLYCATCHER (1), YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER (1), Wood-pewee (5), Ruby-throated Hummingbird (5), Brown Thrasher (1), Gray Catbird (8). He also enjoyed the Red-headed Woodpecker in the Yard, reported earlier by John Hubble. (I should add that when we report numbers, these are our counts only unless otherwise noted -- an earlier post had implied these numbers are a composite of all observers. I wish we could do that, and get a better sense of how many birds are coming through this migratory corridor, but it would be logistically very difficult.)
