It was a female or immature, I'm not that discerning. It was first seen near the concession/ boat dock, but moved west to the east end of the first island when I last left it. A Great Egret was also about, but only seen in flight. Catbirds everywhere. No shorebirds, no other herons. I only birded the west end, up to the concession.
