Park in = Mont Co. Of note: White-eyed Vireo Great Crested Flycatcher Least Flycatcher Pileated Woodpecker (5) Sharp Shinned Hawk (2) Am. Goldfinch (dozens, still!) I watched a mobbing of the Sharpies by many birds (Mockingbirds, Blue = Jays, Crows, Cardinals), but then the Pileateds arrived. I've always = felt it a treat to see just 1 Pileated in the open, but when others = joined in, the site was spectacular. At one point there were 5 Pileateds = in the surrounding trees. Every once in awhile, the Sharp Shinned would = get bothered enough to swoop out at whatever was nearest. Everyone would = scatter, yell, then eventually take their places again. I observed this = for nearly 1/2 hour. For those of you who made the trip to see the White Ibis awhile back, = you'd be surprised at the effects of the drought on the lake. Both = impoundments where the Ibis was hanging about are completely dry now. = The lake shore is easily withdrawn by 30 feet or more. It will be = interesting to see what effect this will have on our migrating = waterfowl. take care, tom. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
