The trip was listed at 3+ hours and turned into 5. Not because we were overwhelmed by the droves of birds but we did cover the park pretty thoroughly. We did manage to pull some birds out of the hot humid backlit conditions, the highlight being a PHILADELPHIA VIREO seen well by everyone. The warblers were: 1 BLUE WING, 1 TENNESSEE, 3 CHESTNUT-SIDED, 12 MAGNOLIA, 1 BLACK-THROATED BLUE, 2 BLACK THROATED GREEN, 1 PRAIRIE, 4 BLACK AND WHITE, 12 REDSTARTS, 6 COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, 1 CHAT and one "mystery warbler" that was either a common yellowthroat, wilson's, connecticut or "no call" depending on which participant you talked to. A couple BALTIMORE ORIOLES, 1 SCARLET TANAGER, 16 BROWN THRASHERS, 1 VEERY and there were CATBIRDS in every bush, tree and shrub.
