Update on purchasing copies of Weidensaul's books at NWVC bookstore. Since Nell Baldacchino's announcement re selling of Scott's books, a member of the bookstore staff is attending the lecture and has agreed to open the store following the presentation in case anyone wants to purchase one of the few books they have available. You will be able to purchase one by  credit card (MC or VISA), check or cash.

And now for something completely different...An
addition to the recent discussion about bald birds -
I've seen lots of bald cardinals, and one or two bald
blue jays, but this morning I saw a first - a bald
crow. His head was black, and devoid (from what I
could see) of feathers...what a sight to see first
thing on a Monday morning!
