The watch began in 1995, and the site is manned by volunteers from the Cecil Bird Club and other affiliated Clubs in the area. Generally counters are only present from ~ 9AM - 12 PM. Last year we had complete coverage, but it seems we may not have such good fortune this year. For more complete site information, including volunteering at the site, view www.udel.edu/cecilbirds Counter Pat Valdata, along with several Baltimore cohorts came up with the following from 0900 to 1200 on 9/17: SS-22 CH-1 BW-3 BE-3 Also another sighting of 2 RED-HEADED WOODPECKER. The regular counters could not be out today 9/18 and there are Broad-winged Hawks ( 50 ) kettling over my house at 1115, Calvert area of Cecil County. ARRRRHH Perhaps someone happened along to count.
