Within a few minutes, another 156 Broad-wings rose from the trees, in six kettles. For the rest of the morning, the Broad-wings came along the ridge on the northwest side of the park. By 2:00 p.m., a total of 628 Broad-wings had passed to the delight of the several watchers, including Steve Sanford, Sue Riccardi, Jim Meyers, and me. Yesterday we had 66 Broad-wings pass the Cromwell Valley Park Hawk Watch. Observers included Steve Sanford, Jim Meyers, Gail Frantz, and me. The complete count (raptors only) for each days follows. Except for eagles, only apparent migrants were counted. Tuesday, September 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
