Kari,
     I have the Superior E 10X42s and my  wife has the Superior E 8x32s.  I
think for most birding situations the 8x32s are better.  And they have a
somewhat longer eye relief.  I tried the Venturers and
was very impressed, but one can find excellent prices for the 8x32s.
