I saw my cat sitting in the window, watching something very intently. I followed his gaze and saw a tiny bird, with a heavily-streaked breast, and stripes on top of its head - an Ovenbird!! I watched it for about ten minutes before it flew off. It didn't seem to be in any hurry - it was just scratching around, wandering through the yard foraging. It finally flew off into the woods at the edge of the yard. This was the first time I'd ever seen an Ovenbird that wasn't caught in a mist net - I've heard them plenty of times, but never actually managed to track one down. Then to find one without even leaving the house...go figure! Lynette Fullerton Odenton, AA Co., Md l_fullerton_1999@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
