From that intersection, proceed a little over three miles to John Brown Road. This will be the fifth chance to turn right after you have passed the Rte 50/Rte 301 intersection. Turn right onto John Brown Road and proceed about a mile to the sod farm. Best reference point at the sod farm is a brick house on the right hand side of the road. Most recently, the Buff-breasted Sandpipers have been in the grassy field beyond the brick house on the left (east) side of John Brown Road. Usually they are amongst a substantial number of Killdeer. Search the entire field carefully, but often they have been fairly close to the road, hence giving great views. I have not seen reports from that site for the past few days, but about a week ago there were as many as three seen at that site.
