MIME-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT On Fall Count today at Lake Roland, I believe I had an adult Orange-Crowned Warbler. Description: breast dull yellow with a substantial amount of gray mixed in. This mixture extended to part of the belly. Undertail coverts yellow. Head nondescript, but with a bit of yellow on the face. Upperparts brownish, no wing bars. I had an excellent look at the underparts, only a brief glimpse of the face. I have seen Orange-Crowned in California, not in Maryland. I would call this sighting a "probable"-- not a perfect look, and I'm not that familiar with the species. I'm writing it up in hopes that someone else will go have a look. This warbler was on the main lake trail at Lake Roland, about 50 yards past the Light Rail tracks.
