They were as vocal as the one in Ashton this past Sunday, and that's how I located them. Also seen were a flock of about 8 Red-masked Parakeets, a nice juvenile (western) Red-tailed Hawk, a pair of Anna's Hummingbirds (spectacular male and a female) a beautiful BLACK PHOEBE (lifer), a lone Western/Clark's Grebe out in the water, and many Western Gulls. A small flock of Brewer's Blackbirds followed us into a cafe to beg food, but we told them we were watching birds, not feeding them! Some other nice sightings too, but we're here for a wedding so haven't had much time for birding, and as you may have guessed, we're not home, we're in San Francisco! Sorry if I misled anyone, but I missed logging on for the past couple of days, and needed my MDOsprey "fix". Finally the sun has broken through, and it seems the weather may turn nice tomorrow... See you all later, when we return next week.Save some good birds for us...
