The watch began in 1995, and the site is manned by volunteers from the Cecil Bird Club and other affiliated Clubs in the area. Generally counters are only present from ~ 9AM - 12 PM. Last year we had complete coverage, but it seems we may not have such good fortune this year. ( Acutally, we have only missed a few days thus far, ) For more complete site information, including volunteering at the site, view www.udel.edu/cecilbirds The 9/29 flight was considerably slower, but still good, with 168 raptors, Candi Lee principal counter, 0730 to noon. Apparently the warblers were good too. BV-3 TV-18 BE-2 SS-63 CH-13 RS-2 BW-44 RT-9 AK-4 ML-2 9/30, Bill Collins counting, slowing up again, 54 raptors from 0900 to 1300. BV-2 TV-6 OS-1 BE-4 SS-36 BW-1 RT-1 For any MD folks with some spare time, we are without a counter for 10/1, if anyone should feel inclined to head out that way.
