Don, a former entomology professor at the University of Maryland, is well known as an avid birder, trip leader, and is now in his fourth decade as an instructor of insect and ornithology programs in the USDA Graduate School program. Past recipients of the Paul Bartsch Award include environmental heroes such as Rachel Carson, Roger Tory Peterson, Claudia Wilds and Chan Robbins. At the meeting Don will speak about "The Future of Environmental Education." Please join us at this meeting and help us thank Don for his years of service in environmental education. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Woodend, our Chevy Chase Sanctuary.
