Hi Everybody,

I made a morning stop at the Great Oak Landing Rd Pond today and was
lucky enough to find the pond almost goose-free (if 200 is
goose-free), allowing a chance to survey other birds without trying to
use x-ray vision on honkers. By the time I departed there were 3000
Canadas, 2 CanadaXGreylag hybrids, and 70 Snow Geese (3 blues). Among
the shorebirds was a single winter plumage *Wilson's Phalarope* that
spent most of its time swimming in the company of yellowlegs. Other
shorebirds included *3 Long-billed Dowitchers*, *14 Stilt Sandpipers*,
9 Pectoral Sandpipers, 22 Lesser Yellowlegs, and 29 Least Sandpipers.
Other waterfowl included pintail, shoveler, both teal, Ring-necked
Duck and Ruddy Duck.

Good Birding,
