Oct 6: 1 in immature or winter plumage flew fairly high over the clearing of picnic area 17/18 heading southwest (on the same heading as all but one of the Canada Geese) at about 8:30 or so this morning. I only had a brief view of it. Northern Harrier Oct. 5: 1 flying at medium height southwest over Piney Branch near the intersection with Blair Road. I turned on to a side street when the light changed and Lisa and I both watched it continuing south.
