The phalarope was still invisible and may have been a one day wonder, but the Ross's Goose was still present. Ross's Geese I should say, because we located two adults, both classic in terms of stub necks, short triangular bills - including the straight edge along the basal feathering - with bluish basal coloration and no gape lines, and rounded unstained heads. We also found an apparent SnowXRoss's hybrid that showed more intrusion of feathering at the bill base and a less straight, more scooped culmen. Seven warbler species this morning including a Tennessee, other highlights of my early walk were - two Gray-cheeked Thrushes, a Red-eyed Vireo, a big increase in White-throated and Swamp sparrows, a Bobolink overhead, and two rough-winged swallows.
